Ideal for a weekend break, a leisurely holiday or short stay for business people.

TIBOOBURRA B&B is magnificently located on the Kalamunda escarpment of the Perth Hills overlooking the city with views all the way to the Rottnest lighthouse.

We are 15 mins from the domestic airport and 10 mins from the international terminals, 25 mins from Perth CBD and 40 mins from Fremantle.

Tibooburra means 'place of many granite rocks'. Our hillside gardens are beautifully landscaped with West Australian native plants and terraced with many granite rocks. Blended also within the beauty of the garden, innovative quirky garden art, all complimented with breathtaking views over Perth City and Perth Airport. You can watch the planes landing and taking off without the noise as well as enjoying the busy little honey eaters feeding from the several varieties of grevillea shrubs in the foreground of this lovely garden. There is so much to see up here at Tibooburra!

In the early evening, after observing the crazy galahs eating seeds from their hanging feeders in our backyard, guests can enjoy a coffee or wine on the balcony while watching Perth's beautiful sunsets and then the 'City of Lights' come alive. The Rottnest Island lighthouse beacon is clearly visible and on occasions, firework displays adds to the spectacular show.

MARKETS - On Sundays the Farmers Market is a must visit. Fresh organic vegetables and speciality foods are plentiful, an ideal place to explore for the foodie in you. The monthly Kalamunda Market is held on the first Saturday of each month. Lovely arts and craft - in fact it is a treasure trove!

About Us - Peter & Bronwen

We were both born and raised in New Zealand. Peter was born in Winton and lived in Invercargill at the bottom of the South Island. Bronwen was born in Blenheim, Marlborough. We moved to Perth in 1999 - the best move we ever made. We still love New Zealand and it's amazing scenery, but Perth is definitely our home.

We are not new to the hospitality industry. While living in Stirling, northern Perth, we hosted many overseas adult students attending the International College of English. We enjoy meeting new, interesting people from around the world, learning about their culture and cuisine and we now look forward to meeting and welcoming you to Tibooburra Bed & Breakfast Kalamunda.
